Rampuri seekh kababs are thicker than the Lucknowi, Mughlai or Kakori seekh kababs. They are prepared with marinated mince of chicken or mutton. Spices such as yellow chili powder, garam masalas, fried onions, ginger, garlic and papaya tenderiser are mixed into mince and the kababs are skewered and cooked over coals. After taking off the skewers, the kababs are dipped in ghee which gives Rampuri seekh kababs a buttery taste.
